Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung has been the ‘’it-girl’’ for years. I can’t be the only one who has been crushing over her style ever since I was a teenager… and still do of course, since old habits die hard my friends!

She knows how to mix and match to perfection, how to style her outfits well and how to wear simple clothes like a jumper and a pair of jeans with ease…

It’s no wonder that designer Karl Lagerfeld has described her as "beautiful and clever...a modern girl"

Alexa gives a new take on the classic fashion staple, the LBD, by wearing opaque black tights and boots. A piece of clothing that is easily toned down, for something more casual, or accessorized the right way, for an evening outing.

Hitting up Glastonbury festival despite the muddy and rainy conditions, Alexa showed off her effortless sense of style once again. She layered up, wearing a green parka jacket over a black velvet blazer, completing the outfit with a delicate white blouse, blue skinny jeans and the obligatory wellies. This is a great way to wear something a bit more classy like a lace blouse and a blazer, but without looking matronly.

An amazing way to wear something show stopping, such as this skirt, is to keep everything else loose and casual. Sequins are a hard thing to pull… it is best to wear it in moderation, while keeping everything else toned down and in dark tones. Alexa chooses to put on her red lipstick for a pop of colour and let the rest of her makeup and hair, simple and natural.
